      <image:title>Home - MEET LAURA</image:title>
<image:caption>Welcome! I am so glad you’re here. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I provide therapy for women. I love working with all women, but I specialize in perinatal mental health concerns (pregnancy and postpartum). It takes courage and vulnerability to ask for help as an expectant and new mother. 1 in 5 women experience a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder during pregnancy or postpartum. Being pregnant can bring about many new emotions and decisions. Some of these emotions may include fear of miscarriage, medical results, body image concerns, and fears of birth. During the postpartum period women with a new baby may experience trauma from the birth, grief over a loss of self, pressure to live up to the “perfect mother” standards, scary thoughts or have trouble connecting with their baby. Know that you are not alone in these feelings. Perinatal Mental Health concerns are highly treatable. I use evidence based therapy techniques to help decrease your anxiety and depression symptoms. We will work collaboratively to increase your support, implement real methods to handle stress and increase your sense of self. I am here to hold space for your most intense thoughts and feelings. You will feel like yourself again!</image:caption>

      <image:title>About Laura Baldwin, LCSW - Hi, I’m Laura!</image:title>
<image:caption>I’m a Mental Health Professional who has specialized training in perinatal mental health. I was raised in a large family of women (I have FOUR sisters!), and recently had a baby girl myself (Summer, 2023). I have seen and experienced some of the challenges women can face in pregnancy and postpartum. I understand what it’s like to have the focus be on the baby during your pregnancy and postpartum, and not so much on you as a new mom. Women deserve to feel supported, and I hope to add to the growing number of therapists who are educating and increasing awareness about this important issue. I have previously worked at Kennesaw State University, CORE community mental health agencies providing in home therapy, psychiatric hospitals, medical settings, and K-12. I was also previously the GA Lead Support Coordinator for Postpartum Support International. I provided volunteer support and coordination for women needing referrals and resources in Georgia.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About Laura Baldwin, LCSW - My Approach</image:title>
<image:caption>As a therapist, I’ve been described by my colleagues as warm, patient and kind. If you’re looking for someone who’s genuine and will truly sit in it with you during your pregnancy or postpartum, you’ve come to the right place! I hope to build this kind of authentic therapeutic relationship with you on your journey. My approach is collaborative, guiding and client-centered. In a more technical sense, I approach counseling with an integrative and holistic lens. I pull tenets from systems theory, strengths-based methods, cognitive behavioral, interpersonal and psychodynamic therapy.</image:caption>
